GHG Türkiye is Türkiye's comprehensive climate, environment and energy data platform. Through 9 different platforms covering greenhouse gas emissions, water resources, energy balance and agricultural data, we analyse, visualise and make Türkiye's environmental data openly available. Our platform aims to inform the public on combating climate change, support data-driven decision making and raise social awareness.
GHG Türkiye provides comprehensive environmental analysis across 9 data platforms:
Türkiye's sectoral greenhouse gas emissions, trend analysis for 1990-2024 and global comparisons. Detailed tracking of all greenhouse gases including CO₂, CH₄, N₂O and F-gases.
Türkiye energy balance, sectoral energy consumption, electricity generation and consumption, natural gas data and renewable energy capacity analysis.
Comparison of greenhouse gas emissions for 195+ countries. Türkiye's global position by total emissions, per-capita emissions and emissions per GDP.
Solid waste generation, wastewater treatment data, recycling rates and waste-sector emissions analysis.
Türkiye water resources, basin-level water management, sectoral water use and water quality indicators.
Agricultural production data, land use changes, agricultural emissions and sustainable agriculture analysis.
Road, rail, air and maritime transport data. Fleet statistics, transport emissions and sustainable mobility analysis.
Carbon footprint calculators, corporate emissions reporting tools, policy and MRV tools, life-cycle analysis (LCA) tools and energy modelling software.
Climate change reports, scientific publications, policy documents, UNFCCC reports and open data archives.
Our blog section Climate Route offers in-depth analyses on current climate policies, COP meetings, Türkiye's climate commitments and international climate negotiations.
We compile and analyse climate, energy and environmental data from official sources. Up-to-date data from trusted sources such as TÜİK, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change, Eurostat, UNFCCC, IEA and World Bank.
We present complex data via interactive charts, maps and visualisations that everyone can understand. Responsive design and mobile compatibility across all platforms.
We track yearly changes, sectoral distributions, regional differences and international comparisons. Time-series analyses and projection charts.
We publish analyses and articles on climate change, energy transition, sustainability and environmental policies.
We offer data from all our platforms in downloadable formats for free. Open data for researchers and analysts.
Data used on our platforms is obtained from the following trusted sources:
| Source | Description |
|---|---|
| TÜİK | Turkish Statistical Institute - National emission inventories, energy and environmental statistics |
| Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change | Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change - National environment reports |
| Ministry of Energy | Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources - Energy data |
| DSİ | State Hydraulic Works - Water resources data |
| Eurostat | European Statistics Office - Comparative EU data |
| UNFCCC | United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change - International reports |
| IEA | International Energy Agency - Energy data |
| World Bank | World Bank - Global comparison data |
| IPCC | Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - Scientific reports |
Starting with the acronym GHG (Greenhouse Gas), our platform has evolved over time into a much more comprehensive climate and environmental data ecosystem. Beyond greenhouse gases, we bring together all of Türkiye's environmental data under one roof.
Monitoring these gases is critical for Türkiye to achieve its 2053 net-zero target.
