Bu kapsamlı analizde, 2000-2024 döneminde Türkiye buğday üretiminin seyrini, arz-talep dengesini, dış ticaretteki konumunu ve iklim değişikliğinin sektöre etkilerini inceliyoruz.

Türkiye's 2024 water report clearly illustrates the regional impacts of climate change and the pressure of rising consumption. While the national average for dam occupancy retreated to 25.16%, dramatic disparities were observed across basins (a 285% increase in Van Lake vs. a 70% drop in Akarçay). On the consumption side, total water withdrawal reached 68.52 billion m³ in the 2010-2024 period, marking a 37.2% increase. Agricultural irrigation remains the dominant sector with a 71% share, while water consumption by thermal power plants has doubled. This study emphasizes the need for Türkiye to shift focus from national averages to basin-specific drought and flood risk management strategies.

COP30 in Belém, Brazil, marked a turning point in global climate action, with nations agreeing to substantially boost climate finance and advance coordinated efforts to keep temperature rise below 1.5°C. The summit launched new frameworks for transparency and accountability, and brought progress on adaptation, nature-based solutions, ocean policy, and gender equality. Despite tension over fossil fuel commitments, the Belém Package delivered concrete measures for implementation and support to vulnerable communities, cementing the conference’s reputation as a milestone for practical climate action.
