About the Platform
This Platform has been developed to analyze and visualize the country's greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory with scientific accuracy and transparency. It provides an in-depth examination of carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane (CH₄), and nitrous oxide (N₂O) emissions originating from the energy, industrial processes, agriculture, land use, land-use change and forestry (LULUCF), and waste sectors.
Covering the period from 1990 to 2023, the platform presents national emission trends, sectoral distributions, and sub-sector dynamics through interactive charts and detailed tables.
Data Sources and Methodology
The dataset is compiled from the Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventory published by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) and the national reports submitted to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). All data have been processed using statistical analysis methods and in accordance with international reporting standards, then presented through a user-friendly interface.
Designed as a reliable reference tool for climate policy researchers, environmental engineers, academics, and sustainability professionals, the platform aims to provide comprehensive and up-to-date information.
